Meet Rachel, the heart and soul behind Reconnect Physiotherapy

With a passion for pain management and a wealth of experience in physiotherapy, Rachel is dedicated to helping you reconnect with life despite your injury or condition.

Qualifications:

Rachel graduated as physiotherapist 20 years ago through the University of Otago and is now back studying a Postgraduate Diploma in Health Sciences in Pain Management. Rachel is interested in all aspects of pain physiotherapy and has completed further training in a variety of skills including Clinical Pilates, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy for Chronic pain and Bradcliff Breathing.

The Path to Pain Management:

Rachel’s professional journey over 20 years has taken her to busy musculoskeletal physiotherapy practices in Wellington, Melbourne and Christchurch, where she initially focused on sports physiotherapy. In recent years, Rachel has developed a passion for pain management and rehabilitation and dedicates most of her clinical time to working with individuals living with long-term injuries, health conditions and chronic pain, collaborating with various ACC rehabilitation services.

Beyond the Clinic:

When she's not at work Rachel finds joy spending time with her husband and two young boys. You can often find her exploring the hills around Canterbury, on the ski field, at the beach, tending to her garden, or indulging in a good book when time allows.

At Reconnect Physiotherapy, you're not on your own, you have a skilled coach who can partner with you on your rehabilitation journey and empower you to reconnect with the things that matter the most.
